In Lakewood, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across Georgia, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Everytime I'm in the "A" I have to pull up to @Black Coffee Company on Jonesboro Road. The high vibrations from the history of the space, the staff, and the coffee/food is how a coffee spot should feel. "Light Skinned Keisha" never disappoints- I had mine with oatmilk #delicious "The Auntie" is chai like no other #exceptional "ATL" is an #elevated avocado toast you must try! "Salmon Lox" #hitthespot- my little Sis loved it. "Young Cheesy" the pull let us know it was cooked to #perfection so damn good. I even enjoyed tasting real matcha- I might be a fan now. Support a small local business- support a Black Business- do things that make you feel good.

This happened to be next to a restaurant I was going to. Decided to pop in a grab a coffee while I waited on my reservation. I was greeted immediately. Everyone was very welcoming. Decided on getting an iced "Brown Skin Girl". It was delicious! There was even live music. My first visit was definitely a great experience. I live out of town but I'll make it a point to visit whenever I'm in Atlanta!! You won't be disappointed!

I love supporting local when traveling. Black Coffee is owned and run by Black people and that was the customer base. I am not Black, but felt very welcome. I asked for a recommendation for a drink and was given a couple options. I picked Light Skinned Keisha based on the recommendation and she stated that if I didn't like it, she would make me something else. The walls are covered with art and photos. There were stone engravings that I'm sure had history. I sat on the comfy chair as I waited for my drink. They also had complimentary lemon water as you waited, or if you ordered food and no coffee. My drink was brought to me. I drank some as I checked my phone for my next destination. I was asked if I liked it, I did, and enjoyed some of the vibe. The speakers played music fitting to the establishment and there was some language in the music not intended for little ears, FYI. It doesnt bother me, but it might others. When I left, my name was used in the goodbye. I felt that was a nice touch. The drinks are a little pricey, but again, supporting local. I'll be back again to try something else.

All around 5-star experience from the food to the vibes to the customer service. The atmosphere was very inviting and chill โ not too loud, not too crowded, just the perfect balance to relax and enjoy yourself. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was on point from start to finish. The food came out fresh, flavorful, and exceeded expectations. You can tell they care about giving customers a great experience, not just serving food. Definitely a spot Iโd come back to and recommend to anyone looking for good energy, great service, and amazing food.

The SOULWAVE Team stopped by Black Coffee for a logistics meeting. WOW, what an experience. First, the energy of this place is a whole SOUL vibe. Rich in culture and presence. You can feel it the moment you walk in. Second, Asia, our barista, delivered some of the best customer service Iโve experienced in a long time. Truly a VIBEโwarm, nurturing, and intentional. And thirdโฆ the coffee and pastry? Absolutely incredible. That smooth, rich coffee paired with the apple caramel cinnamon roll PERFECTION. My soul felt nourished with every sip and bite. I even left with an affirmation written on my coffee cupโฆ which is now a plant holder for my plant named โBlack Coffee.โ ๐ฑ. 5 STARS. Highly recommend. #SOULWAVEApproved
